What's an Encounter Group?

so this week, Encounter Groups within Chi Alpha will begin. but some people might not really know what an "Encounter Group" is?

basically, an EG is a Chi Alpha small group that YOU can get involved with. throughout the week, Chi Alpha leaders host an EG at various times and locations. if you're new, it's a great way to get to know your peers; and if you're not, then it's the place where you can mature your relationships and be challenged further in your own faith/journey. each group can be designed differently (having different structures/focuses, etc...) and is meant to adapt to the needs and interests of its members. some groups may simply be a Bible study, while others may organize more like a discussion forum. in any case, your EG is purposed to provide you with a much more closer-knit environment to ask your questions, share your ideas, and grow closer to God and others.

now, here's a chance for you to share right here: what kinds of things would you like to see your EG do? what kinds of topics would interest you? what would cause you to check out a group?

and discuss...

I think it's important is to have variety and make sure it's fresh and fun.  You don't want it to ever get boring and sometimes that can be a challenge.

I love encounter group and for all the gals out there.... stop by and check one out, either on Wed or Thurs night!!

they're not just for the gals, so you know... come on fellas.
