The past two days were amazing!  I truly believe that God changed lives of people in attendance.  Curt said many funny things and he challenged us in a powerful way.  I will always remember to run towards a good pancake.  I also learned that God speaks to us in his indoor voice.  Or as Elijah learned, a still, small voice.  What will you remember?

a few hours ago, 30+ of us returned from spending the MLKJ weekend in Sacramento, CA. we had an awesome time joining with other Chi Alpha groups from NorCal, Vegas, and even Hawai'i to play together, pray together, and bring change together! collectively, there were over 300 participants in attendance, with the audience comprising of varying ages, cultures, faith backgrounds, and fields of studies. this winter retreat reminded me that this thing i'm involved in called Chi Alpha is so much bigger, and that what God is doing through it is even greater...

Hey guys, another great message last night by Pastor Winston!  I loved Peter counting the fish, "143, 144, 145, HOTDOG!!"  But the central theme remains, "Do you love me more than these?"  Lets make a decision to put Christ first this week!

What would happen if we really lived like God is who we say He is?  How many mountains could we move?  If we lived our lives as if there is an all powerful, all knowing, all loving God, what would be different?

This may be the most important thing you read on this website...but hopefully not.  I WANT YOU!!!!!!! TO TELL ME WHICH IS BETTER  and to explain why.  I will start:

Water is so much better than Diet Coke, because it is so much better for the human body.  It quenches thirst more fully, truly hydrates, and about 1/3 of the time, is slightly cheaper.  Ok, your turn to agree or make me "drink my words."

This past Tuesday, Winston spoke out of the Book of Ruth.  The title of his message was so appropriate to how Ruth obtained her destiny, and it is usually how it works!  But as he said, it isn't by accident to stumble into the right place.  You have to be in the right area at the right time, to position yourself for a blessing from God.

What have you stumbled into in your journey with God?  If you have goals, dreams, and visions, I bet it is something awesome!  Tell me about them.

So, we've got an upcoming service project passing out sandwiches to the homeless population out in Westwood on October 24th, a Saturday.  Later this quarter, we'll also have the opportunity to put together little Christmas gift boxes to send to kids in need around the world (more to come on this in the future).

I am what one might call a coffe drinker.  I wouldn't go so far as to call my self a connoisseur, but I hope to be one day!  I was wondering if you prefer an Ice Blended over a Frappuccino, Pike's Place over Americana, or if a tea leaf fits into your decision making proccess?  In other words, Starbucks or Coffee Bean?

I just moved here to intern with Chi Alpha. I used to wakeboard, skateboard, and snowboard, but havent tried surfing yet. Any surfers out there, or people who would be interested in trying it out?
